Marcia Page - President and CEO

As FCE's President and CEO -- a post she assumed in September 2006 -- Page is responsible for the foundation's strategic direction and the alignment and implementation of its core initiatives: community building, institutional and systemic change, and research. Dorothy Hopkins - Chief Financial Officier

D.Hopkins.gifDorothy Hopkins has worked with FCE since its inception in 1995. She has also worked with J. McDonald Williams, retired Chairman Emeritus of the Board of Trammell Crow Company and Chairman and Founder of FCE, since 1988. She was a controller for the Austin Office and Retail Divisions of Trammell Crow Company in the mid 1980s, and prior to that was an auditor for Kenneth Leventhal & Co. More ...

 

Tabatha Smith – Assistant Director of Marketing and Operations

T.Smith.gifTabatha Smith was recently promoted to Assistant Director of Marketing and Operations at the Foundation for Community Empowerment (FCE).  She joined FCE in 2000 as an Executive Assistant and has received the following promotions:  Office Manager in 2003; Program Manager in 2005.   Ms. Smith has extensive duties as Assistant Director of Marketing and Operations and some of those duties include: assisting the CEO in the development of a product marketing feasibility study process; developing a detailed product marketing strategy; overseeing product development & advertising and promotion contractors to promote FCE’s products and services.  More . . .

 

Libbie Terrell Lee – Director, Community Initiatives

 

L.Lee.gifLibbie Terrell Lee joined FCE in May 2007 as Director of Community Initiatives, the community building piece of the organization. For more than 30 years, Libbie has provided leadership in the areas of community engagement and neighborhood based organizing and development.  Her experience and knowledge of State and National Standards relating to program strategies has gained her national attention and enables her to effectively provide products to clients of culturally diverse backgrounds. She is a trainer and facilitator and has designed and directed training efforts for Dallas County departments, area Public and Private Schools, other large urban counties, as well as businesses, organizations, and institutions.  More . . .

 

 

Margarita Diaz - Office Manager

M.Diaz.gifMargarita Diaz joined the Foundation for Community Empowerment in 2004. Her responsibilities are to welcome visitors and partners to FCE; direct calls to appropriate FCE staff; receive, distribute and mail a variety of correspondence; do filing; maintain conference rooms; schedule appointments; and various other duties. Maggie is bilingual and also serves as an interpreter for Spanish-speaking clients.  More...

 

Charlotte Wallace - Executive Assistant

Victoria Loe Hicks - Senior Writer and Policy Analyst

VictoriaHicks.gifVictoria Loe Hicks joined FCE in 2006. Before that she was an editorial writer and columnist for The Dallas Morning News. She worked at The News as a reporter and editor for 21 years, covering everything from presidential politics to lifestyles. In 2004 she was the lead writer on “Dallas at the Tipping Point: a Roadmap for Renewal.” The 20-page special section measured Dallas’ performance against 14 peer cities across the nation, with particular emphasis on the effectiveness of city governance. A major package of follow-up stories analyzed the city’s neglect of its Southern Sector. More ...

 

Timothy Bray - Director of the Williams Institute

T.Bray.gifDr. Timothy Bray joined FCE in 2005. In addition to leading the Williams Institute's quantitative research, he is Assistant Professor of Crime and Justice Studies at the University of Texas at Dallas. He is primarily responsible for the complex data collection and analysis necessary to produce  the Wholeness Index. Prior to joining the faculty at UTD in 2002, he worked in various management positions with state, county, and local policing agencies in Missouri and Illinois. More ...
