Dorothy Hopkins - Chief Financial Officier
Dorothy Hopkins has worked with FCE since its inception in 1995. She has also worked with J. McDonald Williams, retired Chairman Emeritus of the Board of Trammell Crow Company and Chairman and Founder of FCE, since 1988. She was a controller for the Austin Office and Retail Divisions of Trammell Crow Company in the mid 1980s, and prior to that was an auditor for Kenneth Leventhal & Co.
Dorothy received her CPA in 1982, and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas Christian University in 1980 with a BBA (accounting major). She is a Dallas native, graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1977. Outside of work, Dorothy enjoys music and motion, and the fluidity and meaning that it provides to her life and soul. She and her husband, also a native Dallasite and TCU graduate, have been married since 1980, have three college age children and live in Dallas.
The Hopkins family has been involved with some of FCE's community partners throughout the years. As a freshman in high school, her youngest daughter started the athletic component for Circle of Support's Girl's S.M.A.R.T. summer program, beginning with 40 little soccer campers, it has now doubled in size. She is currently a senior in high school, soon to be at TCU in the fall of 2007. Dorothy's son, as a sophomore in high school worked on his Eagle Scout project at St. Phillips School and Community Center. He is currently a junior at TCU. Dorothy's oldest daughter focuses her volunteer energy at the Ronald McDonald House in Dallas and the inner city elementary schools in Sherman, Texas where she is a junior at Austin College.
Dorothy and her husband are involved in their church on the SMU campus, where they have been members for the last 20-plus years.
